Children as far up to 15 months can have trouble sleeping so moms be prepared. Training your baby to sleep from day one can be a great decision to make.
Allow your baby to get use to sleeping in the same spot daily. For instance if your baby will be sleeping in a crib or bassinet be sure that when your baby falls asleep doing the daytime that you place your baby in the same spot that he will be sleeping at night. As your baby gets a little older some people use the method of not allowing them to sleep to frequent in the daytime so at night after been given a good bath they will normally rest through the night.
Another thing that you don't need to start is if you have no intentions of letting your baby sleep in your bed at night then this is a habit that you should not start. Allowing your baby to sleep with you sometime, but not all the time can cause for you to have a lot of sleepless nights. Some mothers go as far as to hire a sleep consultant that most times consist of a crying method that the baby cry themselves to sleep. This is not a method that I would try, but it is a training method.
Most babies wake up in the middle of the night to eat. Finding a better way to feed them during the night can still allow you to rest especially if you are breastfeeding. Nursing your baby on your side while resting can be very relaxing during the night. There are a bunch of ways to rest, but you have to learn what works best for you and your little one. A lot of babies will learn to sleep at night on there own. Being a mother you have to learn to be patience, and know that getting rest at night may take a little time, but it will be resolved with a little attention.
