Carson Palmer will have a big season. After an injury, and subsequent off year following it, Palmer will return as a top line quarterback. Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens will help Palmer, but the Bengal QB is going to be better this year, regardless of Owens being added. The Bengals grabbed Jermaine Gresham with their first draft pick. Gresham, the tight end out of Oklahoma, will be a favorite target of Palmer's. Look for Carson Palmer to return to 2007 season numbers. Palmer will throw for over 4,000 yards this year, and be a worthy starting quarterback in your fantasy football league. After two off years, Palmer is a sleeper quarterback who shouldn't be overlooked.
Mark Sanchez will be a viable number two quarterback this season. Sanchez has learned fast, and will get more passing attempts this season. The Jets came close to the Super Bowl in 2009. Sanchez could get the Jets over the hump this season. He has shown the ability to keep plays alive with his mobility. Sanchez played the end of 2009 with that mobility limited. The knee is healthy again, so look for Sanchez to roam in the pocket, much like Tony Romo. Having time to practice with Braylan Edwards will also help. Pick Sanchez for a number two QB on your fantasy football team. The Jets will score much more this season.
Chad Henne will be overlooked in many fantasy football leagues. Henne will have a breakout season in 2010. The quarterback out of Michigan is entering his third year with Miami. Henne and Miami used last season as a test. Henne has passed it, and will now develop much faster under the watchful eye of Bill Parcells. Henne had only 12 touchdowns in 2009. I would expect 20 or more this season. The Dolphins have added Brandon Marshall at wide receiver. Henne and Marshall will be a high caliber deep combination all season. Henne is a year away from being drafted as a number one QB in most fantasy football leagues, but will be a strong two this season.
Ben Roethlisberger isn't a sleeper, but will be picked much later than usual. It could be a good gamble to load up on runners early in the fantasy football drafts, then grabbing Big Ben later. Roethlisberger will miss at least the first four games this season. Play with a back-up during that time, then plug in Big Ben after that. You will have the best running game in your league, and a Super Bowl QB to boot. Roethlisberger will have another solid year, after serving his suspension. Look for Mike Wallace to have huge season at wide-out for the Steelers.
