Let's face it, who wants to stay in a boring regular motel with views of the incoming highway and parking lot that's way to big for such a small place. We like the exotic, the new, the unknown, the adventure. When you go traveling this season or anytime and want a unique place to put your head down at night you should definitely live in the spur of the moment and sleep in the accommodations that will give you a story to tell at your neighborhood block party. Here is a guide to the top 10 most unusual hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast's outside of the United States:

10. Castle Cottages Bed and Breakfast and Tree House (West Sussex, United Kingdom) - A truly unique experience, you get to sleep in a tree house, every little kids dream growing up! You receive a healthy breakfast every morning of your stay and wake up in the country side of the United Kingdom. The room is fully equipped with all of your personal needs and luxuries and the cost of staying the night is reasonable (around $325) for a unique night's sleep.

9. Capsule Hotel (Den Haag, Netherlands) - This experience is definitely worth it for the story telling. It doesn't look like a place any normal person would want to sleep, in fact it looks like a raft floating in the river. Each person gets their own little capsule and gets rocked to sleep each night by the river you rest on. For around $150 a night, it could be worth the story.

8. Follonico Four Suite Bed and Breakfast (Torrita di Siena, Toscana, Italy) - A magical experience for anyone who has a family history in Italy. For a very modest $100-$250 a night you sleep in a gorgeous place with warm surroundings and wake up each morning to the rolling green landscapes of the Italian country side. Bring a camera on this stay!

7. Utter Inn (Vasteras, Sweden) - An underworld wonder world in which you and your spouse or family can spend the night in an underwater aquarium. Just outside of Stockholm, the accommodations rest underneath a lake and for close to $500 a night you actually get to "sleep with the fishes" when the opportunity to wake up the next morning.

6. Crazy Bear (Old Beaconsfield, United Kingdom) - With a name like Crazy Bear you just know it has to be either a dive or wrapped in mystery and luxury. Good news for you, it's the latter. An absolute stunning visual dynamic stay that will run you well over $550 a night to be surrounded by champagne, gold, and other treasures. You will sleep like a King.

5. Null Stern Hotel (Teufen, Sweden) - The Swed's seem to do hotel stays in a very unique way. This old nuclear bunker has been converted into an eco-friendly luxury hotel. It's a great deal as well for less than $100 a night but you won't wake up in the kingdom of Crazy Bear, but you will save some money and have the chance to say you slept in a nuclear bunker, you can leave out the part about it not having any nukes.

4. Woodpecker Hotel (Vasteras, Sweden) - Another Swedish unique accommodation in the same park as the underwater hotel (Utter Inn) is located. This time instead of waking up underwater, you wake up high in the trees and can only get down by using a rope ladder. Another great tree house stay, you'll be given all the privacy in the world for over $400 a night.

3. Magic Mountain Hotel (Panguipulli, Chile) - Our first visit outside of Europe takes us to a magical hotel in Chile. The hotel itself looks like it belong as a main attraction in Disney World. For a very modest $300 a night, you're in luxury all the time and your room looks like a dream world. You really have to check it out to believe me, its stunning.

2. Propeller Island City Lodge (Berlin, Germany) - Back to Europe and a visit to Germany will have you breathless as each room is designed differently, including one room that is all mirrors (imagine the possibilities). Again another modest price of around $200 a night will give you an absolute unique experience to say the least.

1. ONE by the Five (Paris, France) - An art lovers delight in the most romantic city in the world. You wont be able to stop from staring at your accommodations and pure beauty of the place you're residing. The price for one night's stay is well over $550, but also very, very worth it. This is the clear number one place to sleep abroad.
