Sleepless

Written July 12, 2005 for My Son

Sleeplessness
July 12, 2005
For Corbin

Wasting time,
I don't want to fall asleep.
I wonder
will you be there when I wake?

All my life I dreamed of you;
All you are is a dream come true.
I would live and die for you,
Do anything you ask me to.

What could dreams do for me now?
I have you here by my side.
To you I make this solemn vow:
you will always be my joy, my pride.

I don't want,
or need anything but you,
and I pray
that I can be your everything.

I'd be lost without you.

So I'll keep
wasting time instead of sleeping,
and I'll know
that you're still breathing
still lying here beside me
dreaming sweetly.

I take pictures of Corbin when he is sleeping all the time, because he looks so beautiful and serene. :)

When Emilie is asleep,I want to take pictures of her dainty face. She looks so peaceful.Wasting moments like these are a crime to me.Someday she will be grown up and I bet I'll still like watching her sleep!!Touching poem Heather!!!
