SlimShots Review

Do SlimShots Really Work?

Tracey P
SlimShots appetite controller is a product designed to help diets eat less by making them feel fuller. SlimShots come in convenient individual servings of 9.3 ml each. Because the only ingredients in SlimShots are palm oil, oat oil, vanilla flavoring, and sweetener, it will not make you feel nervous, jittery, or nauseated like other products.

If you use SlimShots strictly according to the manufacturer's directions, you will lose weight. They recommend taking two servings (shots) per day during the first week. Beginning with the second week, the claim is that one serving per day will suffice.

SlimShots can be taken "as is" or mixed with food like oatmeal, yogurt, or cream of wheat. SlimShots have a sweet but slightly oily flavor. They can be used in conjunction with other weight loss or weight management products. However, SlimShots should not be used with Alli. Like all other weight loss products or programs, you should consult your doctor especially if you are taking medication.

SlimShots is suitable for vegetarians and vegans because it contains no animal products or by-products. Unlike Alli, there is no negative reaction if fats are consumed while using this product. SlimShots do not contain sugar and they have only 20 calories per serving.

SlimShots should be shaken before consumption, but it is not necessary to refrigerate them. The manufacturer of SlimShots suggests that you do certain things to complement your weight loss. Drink 8 glasses of water. Never skip meals. Exercise 30 minutes or more per day. Keep a food journal. Relieve stress through relaxation.

SlimShots also requires that you use in conjunction with a balanced and healthful meal plan and fitness regimen.

So, will using SlimShots actually cause you to lose weight? Like mentioned previously, if you use SlimShots strictly according to the manufacturer's directions, you will lose weight. That means taking them twice per day during week number one and once per day beginning with the second week. It also means adhering to a low calorie nutritious meal plan and increasing your physical activity.

Unfortunately, SlimShots will not help you lose weight if you do not change your eating plan and lifestyle. Therefore, it is actually the lifestyle changes, not the SlimShots, which effectively produce weight loss.

What about SlimShots' claims that you will eat up to 30% less at each meal? That will depend on your actions, not on the product itself. What about SlimShots' claims that your appetite will be supressed. In my personal experience, that is false. Initially, I felt that my appetite was less voracious than it had been previously, but I believe the effect was purely psychological. After several days of deprivation, I found my appetite had increased to normal levels even while consuming SlimShots.

I am happy to report that I received information via a comment by Robin Bonnema. You can read the comment in the comments section, but I am reprinting it here for ease of viewing:
"Dear Tracy, Thank you for taking the time to review SlimShots. I am commenting as there are parts of your article that misinform, are not entirely correct, or fail to communicate the purpose and science behind the product. I work for SlimShots. SlimShots has never positioned itself as a weight loss product. It is a portion controller, an appetite suppressant that helps people manage their daily food/caloric intake without feeling hungry. If you have ever worked to lose weight, you know that the biggest struggle is with altering the amount of food you eat as well as the kinds of foods you eat. SlimShots unique active ingredient is clinically shown to help users EAT UP TO 30% LESS FOOD, for up to 8 hours. There have been peer-reviewed trials and articles published on the active - 4 in the INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF OBESITY and 2 in the JOURNAL OF CLINICAL NUTRITION. The science behind SlimShots is not hockus-pocus as you suggest with the physcological reference. The active was 10 years in
(Due to the limitation of words, this is part 2 of the commentary posted) The active was 10 years in development is so complex that it took a $12 billion global lifestyle ingredient company to bring it to fruition. Made of palm oil that is coated in oat oil in a water-based emulsion, the active bypasses the stomach and travels to the ileum - the upper portin of the lower intestine - to trigger the ileal brake; the mechanism that tells your brain you are full and satisfied. The science is very real. As for the diet and exercise program, we do not sell or require either - we suggest a reduced calorie nutritionally balanced diet and exercise - they are recommended and NOT required. Users may follow any reduced calorie diet they choose, and the exercise program is at their discretion as well. For weight loss, however, you must reduce calories and burn more calories than you ingest. If you cannot reduce the amount of food you eat through sheer willpower, SlimShots may be ideal for helping y "
