Everybody seems to have a blog
But not always something worth saying;
Perhaps it is time for the bloggers to rest
And cease their self-serving braying.
Everything on the web is there
To be found by those who look up
Information that may be useful or not
Some that is easily digested
And some that will make them throw up.
Writing a blog entry each and every day
Is an available but seemingly
Marginal way
To go through the motions
Of having something to say;
No doubt, some folks will read them
And believe what's said has value
While others who recognize bare seeds and stems
Know they don't want a casual blog to feed them.
"Blog on, MacDuff,"
One old bard might have said
Were he to have lived in our era,
But had he taken to time to read a few himself,
His verdict might well have been
"Who me? Alack! No, never."

Post a CommentGood points-so many blogs don't seem to have one!
So true. I like to blog but feel that if I don't have a purpose of the blog, it's wasted time. No one has time to read pointless blogs, let alone find time to write one.
Isn't that the true. I have read many pointless blogs.
Unfortunately, too many poorly written blogs ..."full of sound and fury, signifying nothing"...give good blogging a bad name! Nicely done.
Yep, just a lot of hot air out there, better to stop prattling, then think and share with those who care.
Nice way of putting it and I agree with Tresa.
Some people have much to share, some just share everything. There is a difference!
I keep a blog, but few people read it. I use it a form of self expression.
Great!!!
