SLR Announces Possible Acquisition by Phoenix Fire Multimedia
CEO Cash Yiyuan Also Introduces New Financial Reporter, Increase in Web Traffic
Marking a busy Sunday for SLR(SLCAPEX), CEO Cash Yiyuan introduced new financial reporter Alessandra Narayan, announced impressive gains in web traffic and presence for SLReports.net, and a possible acquisition in the works with RL media firm Phoenix Fire Multimedia.
I had the opportunity to meet with Mrs. Narayan, and can say that I am quite pleased to have a fellow reporter on "The Beat". Our styles and interests will no doubt surely improve the coverage of Second Life Financials and provide additional market clarity.
The gain in SLReports.net traffic was a bit of a surprise, as for quite some time the website had only been carrying content in Italian. Narayan has already posted at least two new articles, as of this writing, and will no doubt reaffirm SLReports.net's place as one of Second Life's premier fianancial news sources.
The possible deal with PFM could provide substancial dividends to shareholders, as PFM will no doubt expand SLR(SLCAPEX) horizons and ultimately profit streams. PFM is a small private multimedia firm that seeks out young talent to develop and expose in the hopes of helping their clients reach the next levels in their careers.
"We have had a desire to 'go public', and start developing a dynamic web presence, in very short order, and the possibility to take over a storied and well-known brand and achieve both goals simultaenously is truly something that intrigues me," PFM owner Randy Latham, who has recently signed up for Second Life but not yet travelled in-world, said in a statement to Associated Content. "The opportunities for us to get exposure for our current clients, as well as discover new and exciting talent within Second Life, are quite exciting."
PFM is a division of the Image, Vehicle and Yield family of endeavors, which has RL interest in several industries. How the formation and transformation of SLR(SLCAPEX) into a diversified PFM or IVY has not yet been fully ironed out.
"It's been a very hectic time in real life recently with a launch of a new book in December, and ongoing discussions with several artists that we are really excited about bringing aboard our firm. But I am very hopeful that something can be set in motion soon to make a smooth transition and start making profitable opportunites for shareholders."
PFM's roster of RL talent includes international award winning author and artist Michael J. Bernard, whose new book of fiction comes out December 2, 2008. Other clients or relationships include author Dinky McConnell, graphic artist Bethany Lawson, graphic artist Whitney Sloan Smith, DJ Nick Lee, MMA fighter and Web developer Justin "Chico" Hammock and filmmaker Steve Karlson.
