Under the bed storage , closet systems, and furniture with built in storage will do a lot to keep your room uncluttered.

Lighting

Most of your lighting should come from windows. Make your windows simple. Simple shades , simple curtains panels, simple frames. Simple windows make for a cohesive room , stay from the gotti stuff.

Use floor lamps for your unnatural lighting. Ceiling lighting in small rooms cast damp shadows that makes the space feel claustrophobic. Floor lamps provide horizontal directional lighting that has been known to cast complimentary shadows. Lighting can be the difference between the space looking like a prison cell or a cozy pad.
