SMALL FORWARD RANKINGS
1. LeBron James - Cleveland Cavaliers
If he can improve on his free throw percentage he will be the clear #1 fantasy basketball pick for years to come.
2. Shawn Marion - Miami Heat
Marion is the type of player every fantasy basketball team needs, as he excels in every statistical category.
3. Danny Granger - Indiana Pacers
Matrix II. (ie. Shawn Marion). Granger emerged into a complete package for fantasy basketball owners last year, expect more of the same this season.
4. Caron Butler - Washington Wizards
Great guy if you want steals in your fantasy basketball league. And he offers great free throw percentage to boot.
5. Rashard Lewis - Orlando Magic
Lewis offers an exceptional roto-game in fantasy basketball leagues, but in head-to-head leagues he just doesn't get enough stats on a nightly basis.
6. Andre Iguodala - Philadelphia 76ers
Iguodala's all-around game is perfect for teams in fantasy basketball head-to-head leagues.
7. Paul Pierce - Boston Celtics
Another SG/SF switch player with a great all-around game.
8. Josh Smith - Atlanta Hawks
If you can stomach his low free throw percentage and high turnover totals, then his combination of blocks, steals, points, and rebounds are a great asset to any fantasy basketball team.
9. Antawn Jamison - Washington Wizards
Not many SF/PF's can match Jamison's combination of 3's, points and rebounds.
10. Rudy Gay - Memphis Grizzlies
Gay emerged last year as a great fantasy basketball player who can fill nearly every stat category.
11. Vince Carter - New Jersey Nets
Vince is the veteran in NJ with Kidd and Richard Jefferson gone.
12. Carmelo Anthony - Denver Nuggets
Increased his rebound total last year which was a bonus. Melo is emerging into a dependable 20-10 guy in fantasy basketball leagues.
13. Jason Richardson - Charlotte Bobcats
14. Michael Redd - Milwaukee Bucks
Master of the 3 and excellent free throws, but doesn't offer much of anything else to fantasy basketball teams.
15. Ron Artest - Houston Rockets
16. Gerald Wallace - Charlotte Bobcats
17. Mike Miller - Minnesota Timberwolves
Excellent source of 3-pointers and great free throw percentage.
18. Andrei Kirilenko - Utah Jazz
Comeback year for Kirilenko last season has people back on his bandwagon this year.
19. Lamar Odom - Los Angeles Lakers
20. Josh Howard - Dallas Mavericks
21. Corey Maggette - Golden State Warriors
22. Peja Stojakovic - New Orleans Hornets
23. Stephen Jackson - Golden State Warriors
24. Kevin Durant - Oklahoma City Thunder
Great scoring option, but field goal percentages aren't up to par yet.
25. Hedo Turkoglu - Orlando Magic
26. Luol Deng - Chicago Bulls
After an absolute horrible season last year, Deng enters 08-09 as a bounce-back sleeper candidate who should have a big year in store.
27. Richard Jefferson - Milwaukee Bucks
Should post a 20 plus point season in Milwaukee.
28. Tracy McGrady - Houston Rockets
McGrady is one big constant injury waiting to happen. In other words, he just can't be counted on for fantasy basketball teams.
29. Mike Dunleavy - Indiana Pacers
30. Michael Beasley - Miami Heat
Beasley should post very good fantasy basketball numbers as a rookie.
31. Francisco Garcia - Sacramento Kings
32. Ronnie Brewer - Utah Jazz
Great option in head-to-head fantasy basketball leagues for steals.
33. John Salmons - Sacramento Kings
34. Rashad McCants - Minnesota Timberwolves
35. Anthony Parker - Toronto Raptors
36. Marvin Williams - Atlanta Hawks
37. Tayshaun Prince - Detroit Pistons
38. Shane Battier - Houston Rockets
39. Amir Johnson - Detroit Pistons
It's looking more and more likely that this may be the year Amir finally gets a starting job in Detroit. He has tremendous block potential.
40. Ricky Davis - Los Angeles Clippers
41. Hakim Warrick - Memphis Grizzlies
If he gets starters minutes, Warrick should put together some great fantasy stats.
42. Jamario Moon - Toronto Raptors
43. Andres Nocioni - Chicago Bulls
44. Thaddeus Young - Philadelphia 76ers
45. Al Thornton - Los Angeles Clippers
46. Ryan Gomes - Minnesota Timberwolves
47. Charlie Villanueva - Milwaukee Bucks
48. Nick Young - Washington Wizards
Great sleeper pick who could emerge in his second year.
49. Grant Hill - Phoenix Suns
50. Travis Outlaw - Portland Trailblazers
51. Martell Webster - Portland Trailblazers
52. Mickael Pietrus - Orlando Magic
53. Kelenna Azubuike - Golden State Warriors
Azubuike could be an early season gem with Monta Ellis out and Baron Davis no longer in town.
54. Wilson Chandler - New York Knicks
Played outstanding to end the season last year. If it can carry over, Chandler will be a great scoring option in NY.
55. Tyrus Thomas - Chicago Bulls
56. Jeff Green - Oklahoma City Thunder
With a year under his belt, Green could emerge as a very reliable fantasy basketball option this season.
57. Kyle Korver - Utah Jazz
58. Adam Morrison - Charlotte--- Bobcats
59. Corey Brewer - Minnesota Timberwolves
60. Bobby Simmons - New Jersey Nets
61. Keith Bogans - Orlando Magic

67. Jared Dudley - Charlotte Bobcats
68. Dorell Wright - Miami Heat
69. Danilo Gallinari - New York Knicks
70. Luke Walton - Los Angeles Lakers
71. Leon Powe - Boston Celtics
Powe is a great backup player who can give the starters a break and actually play like a starter himself.
72. Brandan Wright - Golden State Warriors
73. Brandon Bass - Dallas Mavericks
74. Damien Wilkins - Oklahoma City Thunder
75. Rodney Carney - Philadelphia 76ers
76. Thabo Sefoloshia - Chicago Bulls
