Small Forward (SF) Deep Sleepers - Top 3

Omri Casspi - Cle - sg/sf

Since entering the NBA as a rookie in 2009, Casspi has been very productive when given consistent playing time. With a move to the rebuilding Cleveland Cavaliers roster, it is very likely that Casspi will be able to tally 25-30 minutes played per game this year. Offering solid three point shooting, Casspi is an excellent late round sleeper pick for fantasy basketball teams entering the 2011-2012 season.

2010-2011 Stats: 41.2 fg% -- 8.6 ppg -- 1.3 3pt -- 4.3 reb -- 1.0 ast -- 0.8 stl -- 0.2 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 43 fg% -- 12.0 ppg -- 1.5 3pt -- 5.0 reb -- 1.3 ast -- 0.8 stl -- 0.2 blk

James Johnson - Tor - sf/pf

After a season and a half of sitting on the bench in Chicago, a mid-season trade last year brought Johnson to Toronto where he was finally able to get some playing time and even a starting spot. With excellent size at 6'-9" to play small forward, Johnson offers a solid combination of rebounding, blocks and steals to make an impact across several stat categories if he is given ample playing time this season. Add in the fact that the Raptors do not have any set in stone starter at SF, and Johnson should be given plenty of opportunity to stake his claim as the Raptors starting SF this season.

2010-2011 Stats: 45.6 fg% -- 7.1 ppg -- 0.2 3pt -- 3.7 reb -- 2.3 ast -- 0.9 stl -- 1.0 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 46 fg% -- 10.0 ppg -- 0.2 3pt -- 5.5 reb -- 2.5 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 1.0 blk

Courtney Lee - Hou - sg/sf

Entering his fourth season in the NBA, Lee has proven to be a dynamic scoring threat at both small forward and shooting guard when given consistent playing time. Unfortunately for Lee, that consistent playing time has been hard to come by over his NBA career so far. With a fairly stacked shooting guard and small forward position in Houston entering the 2011-2012 season, Lee could once again be looking at limited minutes this year. However in that same token, Lee could also be the young veteran who finally claims a full time starting job in the Houston lineup this season.

2010-2011 Stats: 43.9 fg% -- 8.3 ppg -- 0.9 3pt -- 2.6 reb -- 1.2 ast -- 0.7 stl -- 0.2 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 45 fg% -- 12.0 ppg -- 1.0 3pt -- 3.5 reb -- 1.5 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 0.2 blk
