Small Forward (SF) Sleepers - Top 3

Paul George - Ind - sg/sf

After averaging 20 minutes played per game last season as a rookie, George enters the 2011-2012 season with an excellent opportunity to build upon his rookie campaign. A favorite to take over as the starting shooting guard or small forward in Indiana for the foreseeable future, George could easily become one of the Pacers leading offensive scoring threats this season. Expecting solid all-around stat contribution from George in fantasy basketball leagues is very possible in 2011-2012.

2010-2011 Stats: 45.3 fg% -- 7.8 ppg -- 0.7 3pt -- 3.7 reb -- 1.1 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 0.4 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 45 fg% -- 15 ppg -- 1.0 3pt -- 4.5 reb -- 1.5 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 0.5 blk

Gordon Hayward - Uta - sg/sf

As a top 10 draft pick last season, Hayward spent the first half of his rookie season sitting on Utah's bench and only seeing the court for scrap minutes. However when Hayward was finally ready to get on the court and receive some playing time, he emerged as a solid contributor in Utah's lineup while tallying 16 points per game over the final 7 games of the 2010-2011 season. With more playing time in store for Hayward this season, he could easily become a solid overall stat contributor in fantasy basketball lineups, as he has a solid shooting touch that can translate into being a high percentage shooter, while possessing excellent three point shooting ability, as well as solid rebounding and assist ability as a combo shooting guard and small forward.

2010-2011 Stats: 48.5 fg% -- 5.4 ppg -- 0.5 3pt -- 1.9 reb -- 1.1 ast -- 0.4 stl -- 0.3 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 48 fg% -- 14 ppg -- 1.5 3pt -- 3.5 reb -- 2.0 ast -- 1.0 stl -- 0.5 blk

Ersan Ilyasova - Mil - sf/pf

Still just 24 years old, Ilyasova has put up back to back solid but not great seasons as a reserve in Milwaukee's rotation. Offering solid rebounding skills for a small forward, as well as a nice shooting touch and respectable three point shooting ability, Ilyasova is one player who could become an excellent sleeper for fantasy basketball teams if he can receive consistent playing time in Milwaukee, which it looks like he definitely will be given that opportunity.

2010-2011 Stats: 43.6 fg% -- 9.5 ppg -- 0.6 3pt -- 6.1 reb -- 0.9 ast -- 0.9 stl -- 0.4 blk

2011-2012 Projected Stats: 44 fg% -- 10 ppg -- 1.0 3pt -- 6.5 reb -- 1.0 ast -- 0.7 stl -- 0.5 blk
