Small Portion

Jose Zuniga
You remind of a huge

Uncaring magnet

That only attracts

And to repel you'd have to be

A different thing

Like a shin-kick

Or a Charlie Horse's pony.

You are a candy

That turns into a butterfly

In the belly

Do you feel them fly

Like circular profanity

Which always translates to:

I don't know what to do.

You are the uninvited guest

who is welcome

no matter the time of day.

You may remind of all these things

That I claim you are

And you may be

But they are a small portion

Of what you mean to me.
