The end of the beginning is set on "Smallville" in its tenth and final season. Catch up on previous episodes at the CW.

Season nine came to a close as Clark Kent saved millions from death after General Zod (Callum Blue) declared war on Earth's people. Clark used the the Kryptonian Book of Rao, a spiritual tome, to prevent his attacks and save mankind. As he used the tome it also opened up a doorway to another world, a world where Clark's people could finally find peace. The gateway sent all the Kryptonians into another world. Tess Mercer was burned by Zod for her wrong doings and as she flat-lined, was saved by a elderly woman. No one knew who the woman was, or why she appeared out of thin air, much less why she saved the heir to the Luthor throne. Meanwhile Green Arrow was abducted, leaving Chloe alone to search for him.

Season 10 "Lazarus" begins where the previous season ended. Jonathan Kent is set to return to the Kent Farm with a message for his son, Clark is found lifeless, Lois saves Clark from blue kryptonite, Tess lives and finds herself in a LuthorCorp lab, and Chloe continues searching for the Green Arrow. "Lazarus" was written by Holly Henderson and Don Whitehead.

"Smallville's" tenth and final season premieres on April 15, 2011 on The CW.
