Zod (Callum Blue) has the Kandorians attack important locations around the planet and Chloe (Allison Mack) and Watchtower leads Earth's superhero to stop them.
Tess (Cassidy Freeman) battles Zod at the Fortress of Solitude to save Clark (Tom Welling) but Zod uses his heat vision to burn and destroys the Fortress console. Clark finds her and takes her to the hospital and tells him about a second console that can be used to activate the book.
Zod pretends to be as the Blur to convince Lois (Erica Durance) into getting him the Book of Rao, which he claims will help the Kandorians build the solar towers but really wants it for his own gain. The Red Queen aka Martha Kent (Annette O'Toole) had previously procured the book from Tess. Martha gave Clark the book after telling him it would send all Kryptonians to another planet to start over again. Then Lois took the book from Clark when she hugged him because he wasn't completely honest with her. Lois doesn't believe Zod is the Blur and keeps the artifact from him, which angers him and he proceeds to attack her. Clark shows up to stop him. Afterwards, Clark retrieves the book from Lois and after he kisses her, she realizes Clark is the Blur.
After the Kandorians destroy all of the watchtower satellites, Oliver (Justin Hartley) tells Chloe that he had a backup satellite built. Oliver goes to his satellite station to activate the transponders and allow watchtower to download from the satellite. While working in a satellite air duct, he is attacked by unknown beings who are not Kandorians.
As a last-ditch effort, Clark plans on opening the doorway to a New Krypton with the Book of Rao and taking the Kandorians with him. Zod shows up with the Kandorians to stop Clark. Clark argues with Zod, who inadvertently says that he murdered fellow Kandorian, Faora (Sharon Taylor) and her unborn child. The Kandorians overhear Zod and agree to Clark's plan to send them all to a New Krypton to live in peace. After the doorway is opened and the Kandorians are transported to the new planet, Zod plans on stabbing himself with blue kryptonite, which would allow him to remain behind on Earth to conquer it while his people are stuck on the new planet. Clark and Zod battle and Clark stabs himself with the blue kryptonite as he falls for the building and Zod is forced to teleport to new planet as well.
