Smartlipo for Your Abs and Hips

Cloudage
This is an interview with my neighbor A.A. She had a smartlipo done on her abs and hips three months ago, and I have asked her to share her experiences for the Associated Content public.

Cloudage: Can you begin by telling me a little about smartlipo?

A.A: Of course I can, it's such a new procedure so the information out there can appear to be misleading. However, after struggling with weight problems after the birth of my son five years ago I knew I had to do something. I had tried all imaginable diets and exercises, and although I lost some weight there was still that "extra" around my abs and hips that wouldn't seem to go away. I heard about smartlipo, and started reading up on it online. I then contacted a doctor, who gave me insight details into the procedure and what I could expect.

What is so great about smartlipo is that you won't have to deal with the whole ordeal it is having liposuction. smartlipo does not suck the fat out of you like in liposuction, it makes the fat cells dissolve by using a laser, and first then they massage most of the fat out of your body by small tubes.

Cloudage: What about the pain level?

A.A: I had local anesthesia, and I must say that the most painful part for me was after I got home. I had to wear a pressure garment that made it difficult to sleep, and I also got some bruising around my hips that hurt. I contacted my doctor, and he told me to hang in there and take the prescribed pain medication, and that it would be gone in a day or two. Sure enough, a few days later both the pain and bruising was gone! When also the itching was gone, I was in heaven [laughing].

Cloudage: Do you feel happy with the end result? Did you get the result you had hoped for?

A.A: My doctors specifically told me that I was a perfect fit for this procedure, since I wasn't looking for a massive weight reduction, but rather trim the couple of pounds here and there. So I did have high expectations, and already the following day I could see clear results which improved further over the next week. I am very happy with my new look, and I believe that I made the right decision.

Cloudage: I'm so happy for you! I was just wondering about the financial side of it. How much did you end up spending?

A.A: I wish you didn't ask [laughing]. No, it was expensive rounding off at almost $ 7000. Then again, I got something for ME, and I won't have to go back in for more treatments. It's been so long since I really did something only for myself, and the feeling I get when I look in the mirror now makes it all worthwhile.

Cloudage: To round it off, is there anything else you would like to tell the people of AC?

A.A: Hmm... To have a good doctor is a must, make sure that you have the communication in order and that you feel that you get the answers you're looking for. I was very lucky and got the best care possible. Another thing is to ask your doctor, and do as much research as possible to make sure that you'll get something out of it and that you are completely comfortable. I felt completely safe during the whole procedure, and it made everything so much easier.

Cloudage: Well, thank you very much for sharing your experiences!

A.A: Oh, it was my pleasure.
