Smooth Jazz Summer Nights at Penn's Landing Featured in Philadelphia

Only two chances left this summer to experience "Smooth Jazz Summer Nights at Penn's Landing" which features fabulous performances with one of the most beautiful views in the city. Penn's Landings Jazz concerts have been happening for over a decade now, but yet are still somehow are missed by so many. They are a great Philly secret to be shared with all! (And the best part is they are FREE!)

The Jazz concerts have featured some of the regions greatest Jazz musicians, and the outdoor concerts are a wonderful way to spend a summer night. With the weather cooling now is a great time to go experience the last two of the summer, held August 24^th and August 31^st beginning at 7:30pm.

The Concert on August 24th will feature Chieli Minucci and Nelson Rangell. Chieli grew up in Queens, NY where he still resides today, With both this parents being musician he grew up surrounded by jazz and his musical talents showed themselves at age 5 and he has been playing ever since! Chieli has collaborated with some of the best, including Celine Dion, Lionel Richie, Marion Meadows, Gerald Veasley, and more. The smooth guitar is Chieli Minucci's favorite and with his Italian style he creates romance in the air, but don't worry Nelson Rangell will be sure to liven things back up a bit with the fun and funky flare! Rangell learned how to play flute at the age of 15, but his true love is the saxophone. Rangell incorporation of hip-hop rhythms into his saxophone sound always livens the party up!

The Concert on August 31^st will feature Bobby Caldwell and the Smooth Summer All Stars. Most know Bobby Caldwell by his self-titled double platinum solo album, which included "What You Won't Do for Love", "My Flame" and "Down for the Third Time" among other great hits. With over 25-years of music, Bobby Caldwell has Jazz down pat and is always a great crowd pleaser! His combination or original pieces and classic favorites always have you humming long after the concert has ended. Bobby Caldwell also received the "Lifetime Achievement Award in Music" at the 10th annual Heroes and Legends Awards. So come see the legend!
