In order to prevent fine lines and wrinkles, these are the basics you need to have in order to do so.
• Sunscreen with at least an SPF 15 or higher
• Antioxidant supplements
• Water and fresh foods
• Facial Moisturizer
• Foundation with an SPF of 15 or higher
Stop dry skin and wrinkles by hydrating with a creamy moisturizer. Dry, dehydrated skin shows lines and wrinkles much more significantly than moisturized skin, so be sure to apply moisturizer each morning before applying makeup and after cleansing the face at night. Moisturizer locks in water on the skin, preventing it from becoming dry and flaky.
The number one most important rule to good skin care is applying sunscreen. Use sunscreen on the face and neck every morning before applying makeup or even moisturizers. Sunscreen should have at least an SPF of 15 or higher to offer the best protection, no matter what color the skin is. Unprotected exposure to the sun, UVA and UVB sun rays cause damage, sunburn, wrinkles and even skin cancer.
Enhance the diet with supplements containing antioxidants or incorporate them into each meal with everyday foods to reduce lines and wrinkles. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, fish and legumes are all rich in antioxidants, which promote healthy, smooth skin from the inside. These antioxidants also counteract free radicals, which cause damage to the skin from pollution or chemicals found in fatty, processed foods. Many moisturizers include additional antioxidants in their formulas, increasing the benefit.
Smooth skin out even when using makeup. Foundation that has an SPF of 15 or higher should be used to add extra protection to the delicate facial skin. Increasing protection to the face in addition to daily sunscreen use reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles, and even prevents new wrinkles from occurring. Many foundation formulas offer extra protection with the use of collagen or other skin vitamins to prevent or soften the appearance of wrinkles and lines.
Finally, reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles by eating a healthy diet and drinking plenty of water. Be sure to eat foods that contain antioxidants, and get enough sleep each day to keep skin healthy and wrinkle free. Cut back or avoid alcohol and caffeine, since they dehydrate the body of water, causing dry skin.
