I purchased the box of five bars and noticed they were 90 calories per bar. The rest of the nutrition info was not bad either. In each bar, there are 2 grams of fat, 20 calories from fat and 17 grams of carbs. Unfortunately, there is only 1 gram of protein.
After taking the bar out, I noticed how small they are. Each Special K Bliss raspberry cereal bar is only approximately 3.5 inches in length. For 90 calories, I should not expect a typical sized cereal bar, but I figured it would be a bit bigger. I was interested to see if the size mattered.
The Special K Bliss raspberry cereal bars smell and look appetizing. The bar has a chewy consistency; it is not too hard or too soft. The bar had a sweet taste, but not overwhelmingly so. I could taste the raspberry flavor, which mixed nicely with the thin layer of chocolate on the bottom. When I get chocolate or sweet cravings, one of these bars will satisfy quite well.
The seemingly small size of the Special K Bliss raspberry cereal bars was more than enough for me. It fit in my purse and I was able to eat it on the run for a much-needed snack. The bar was just enough to leave me happy and stopped the hunger pangs. If you are a sweets person, I am sure you can imagine how hard it is to pass up a chocolate chip cookie when you have a chocolate craving. I could definitely see myself passing up a cookie or some other high fat treat to grab one of these.
I paid $2.79 at a grocery store for the Special K Bliss raspberry cereal bars. They are a lot cheaper than some other cereal bars I have had where the taste was not nearly as good. I fully believe they are worth the purchase and can help you stay away from other less satisfying treats.
