Another great little way to enjoy Snapple is to freeze it in ice pop molds , this makes a very nice snack. There are so many sodas on the market this makes for a healthier drink.I've cut up some peaches, frozenthesnapple into cubes and dropped this into a bowl of Ginger Ale and this has made both a great presentation and a superb party drink. I add a few mint leaves to the ice cubes. You can also add Vodka if you want a drink with a kick to it. YOu can do this with any of their fruit flavored Snapples.
This is a non carbonated drink and has a tea base so you will experience a little rush from the caffeine if you're as sensitive to caffeine as I am. I don't mind this I often need a little pick me up. As far as I know there is no decaffienated version.
I tend to stock up on Snapple although I guess by this time I should know the stores aren't running out but I feel better with a stock pile.
One little problem , I'm not crazy about the heavy bottle. It's not something I can throw in my purse and it's breakable of course. I imagine it would have been packaged in plastic if the company felt this wouldn't affect the taset.
The bottle I get is a 16 oz size. Sometimes they have contests with winning caps. Sometimes you just get an interesting fact under the cap like slugs have four noses.
There are numerous flavors, Lemon, Green tea, Raspberry, regular Plain tea, Orange and many more in both dietr and regular.
Tea came about in 2737 b.c. when a Camelia leaf fell in the reigning Emporers hot water. Tea has flavenoids that reduce the risk of stroke and cardiovascular disease. It protects your genetic material and lipids and supports your immune sytem. They neutralize free radicals. The medical field seems to think this also works to prevent Cancer. These ingredients also help your bones so it's healthy as well as tasty. It's good for your oral health although I always thought tea stains your teeth. The Snapple drink was born in Greenwich Village, New York. It was a concept developed by three friends, Herman, Leonard and Arnold. They wanted something healthier but still tasty. This was in 1972. Their idea certainly took off. As far as health concerns tea versus colas, there have been studies suggesting cola causes high blood sugar, high blood pressure and excess abdominal fa. and one soda a day , regular or diet, boosts the risk of developing metabolic conditions 48 %. . SOme doctors disagree with this and teh AHA does not concur. Still, better safe than sorry.
In my local food store I can get Snapple at .50 per bottle when it goes on sale. If you stop on the road and want to buy one bottle it can be as much as $1.79. That's why I opt to carry my own.
All in all its one of my favorite refreshments.
