Snapshots of Summer

A Poem as a Series of Snapshots

Ann Laczko

Pretty ponies swoosh their tails while grazing on green grass.

Splash! A pebble makes a ripple in the placid lake.

The setting sun now dances on its surface.

A child digs in the sand with a toy rake.

She sings silly songs of a lovely summertime place.

Rabbits hop and nibble clover.

Not thinking of when the summer will be over.
