Sneak Peak Album Review of 80s Disco Stars Compilation CD

Rich Jones
Because I grew up during the 1980's I have been exposed to all forms of music that were popular at one point. The thing that is great about this is that each form of music have a following of millions of dollars so even the mention of a name as big as Prince or Madonna could generate millions. Having grown up in a family with diverse music interest I could always remember my aunt listening to disco music. The unique thing about this genre of music is that it generation maybe billions of dollars and many of the biggest stars are still popular today. There is almost no other form of music who has produced stars that still enjoy fame so many years later. Because my aunt loves Disco I decided to pre order her "80s Disco Stars" this is a compilation CD and is the first in the series. It is actually volume one so I assume their will be more to come. I pre orders this CD from Target for 12.99 which I thought was a bit expensive. However, it was intended for a gift so I just paid the high price. I thought I would listen to the CD via YouTube before the CD ships to me in a few weeks. I was hoping that this would be a good gift.

The CD has 14 tracks which is a good amount for any compilation CD, it is not uncommon to see 10 or less so I was happy with the amount of songs. The CD features artists such as Linda Jo Rizzo, Paul Mcdouglas, Mozzart, Total Toly, Grant Miller, Red Wire, and Tom Carabba amongst others. These are some of the biggest Disco stars ever. Some of the best tracks included are "Fly Me High", "Malice & Vice" and "Oriental Accupunture". These are some of the biggest Disco hits ever and they are all included in their original form which is wonderful about this CD. The tracks are no remixed or altered which is hard to find because the rights to use the originals is expensive. While I do wish some tracks for Price or Michael Jackson were included here I am happy with the included material and optimistic about the new CD. I would rate this CD a 4/5 because of the big names and tracks on this CD and if you love disco or dance music then you will love this CD and this genre is very big today.
