Sneak Peak Album Review of En Concert by Jack Johnson

Rich Jones
According to Billboard Charts available via their website at Billboards.com Jack Johnson is one of the most successful artists of our time. All of his first five albums have sold at least one million copies, which means they have all achieved platinum status. The reason for this is the Jack is a unique blend of a Pop music artist. He is someone who stumbled upon music in college by mistake. According to this website he was a surfer early in life and basically discovered song writing when he was in college. He decided that this was something he enjoyed and thought he would give it a shot. He has since sold several million records and I believe it is because of the style that Jack uses. His music blends Pop with a slow pace melody that sounds a lot like elevator music. His very calm and low voice goes well with the slow motion beats that he often uses. He sings Pop music that is so mellow it can be played in the elevator or at the local Starbucks and it often is. What this means is that Jack Johnson gains a lot of exposure because he combines an audience looking for pop music and those that enjoy listening to his relaxing and mellow music. My girlfriend loves his music and that is why I decided to pre order his album titled En Concert via Amazon and I wanted to listen to the album on Youtube before it arrives so I would know if it made a good gift.

There are 19 tracks in total and I was happy about this because of the amount of material that is on the CD. If you are a fan of Jack Johnson then you will be very happy with this CD and the 72 minutes of music on this CD. It is filled with music and the best tracks are Do You Remember, Wasting Time, and Constellations but there is so much material on this CD that there will be something that everyone loves. This CD includes live performances from all around the United States and even though they are different performances the songs mesh well and you are given the feeling of a live concert without the cost of actually going. If you like this CD you will also like artists such as Train, Jimmy Buffett, Michael Franti, and Five For Fighting. I would rate this CD a 5/5 because it could not be better and it makes a great gift.
