Sneak Peak Album Review of Hannicap Circus by Bizarre

Rich Jones
Bizarre is an artist that became famous because he was signed to Eminem and he has been a long time friend since they are both from Detroit. Within the music industry Bizarre became known as the fat man in D12 because he would appear on stage with his stomach out and rub it all over the place. I first began listening to him when I heard the D12 song titled Purple Pills, which featured Eminem. It is a track that talks about what a user experiences when on ecstasy pills. Not in a Jimmy Hendrix way though, this was a happy song about drug use and that is what made it different from other music. Even the song My Band uses comedy and combines rap in order to create a song that is funny and a lot of fun to listen to in the process. According to Billboard Charts available via their website at Billboards.com these were two of the most success records of this decade and because of this I became a fan of Bizarre. I enjoy his comedic form of rap and so I decided to pre order his album titled Hannicap Circus via Amazon and I thought it would be a good idea to listen to the album via Youtube because I was fully expecting that the album would be horrible.

The CD includes 17 tracks and is about 65 minutes in length. While some of the tracks are a bit short there are some that are longer than 5 minutes, which says that Bizarre has no trouble recording this solo album. Every track is like a different story and it is very creative in that way because you are given something new with each song. The best songs on the CD are Gospel Weed Song, Crush On You, I'm So Cool, and Bad Day which is a song that reminds me a lot of Iced Tea, Ice Cube, and Dr. Dre. These tracks alone make the CD worth buying but I think at least 8 or 9 songs have a lot of replay value. The featured artists include Young Miles, Sidee Syringe, Big Boi, Swifty, King Gordy, Stick Man, Raphael Saadiq, Kuniva and Obie Trice. There are no Dre tracks but the big name producers include PMG, Mr. Porter, Hi Tek, Erick Sermon, Shea, Mike Chav, Slicknotes, Silent Riot and Sol Messiah. I would rate this CD a 3/5 because it has great beats and the songs have a lot of comedic value.
