Sneak Peak Album Review of Hell Up in Harlem by Jim Jones and Max B

Rich Jones
Jim Jones is a rapper and member of Dipset, which was a very successful rap group that included Cam'ron, Jim Jones, Juelz Santana, Max B, Hell Rell, 40 Cal and many other artists. Cam'ron, Jim Jones and Juelz Santana collaborated to form a group which became known as "The Diplomats" and they recorded an album that was called "Diplomatic Immunity" and "Diplomatic Immunity 2" each of which sold 500,000 minimum according to Billboard charts available via their website at Billboard.com.

After these two releases they decided to branch off and release various CDs, which featured the Dipset members and label. Essentially, these were CDs that were compilations of various songs recorded by separate artists on Dipset and then put together onto one CD and released as albums. Competition in the recording industry eventually resulted in problems between Cam and 50 Cent and then by extension G-Unit and Dipset. That is, until Jim Jones and Juelz Santana appeared on stage during a concert with 50 cent in 2007. Since then, Max B was sent to jail for robbery and Cam'ron went into hiding for almost three years before he released his CD "Crime Pays". In the mean time, when Max B was released from jail he had hard feelings or beef with fellow Diplomat member Jim Jones for not providing him with the bail money that was needed.

This resulted in problems between the two according to Rolling Stone Magazine and they began making music directed toward one another. Hence the reason for this CD titled "Hell Up In Harlem" which features half songs by Max B and half by Jim Jones. I ordered this CD on Mixunit because I was a long time fan of The Diplomats and I thought I would like the CD. However, I decided to listen to the CD on Youtube before it ships to see what it included and I loved what I heard. The CD includes 30 of pure magic, The features on the CD include Sheek Louch, D-Block, The Game, Hell Rell, and French Montana. It includes songs from Max like "Show Me Some Love" and "Hold Em" but it also includes songs recorded by Jim Jones and Mix together such as 'Lump Sums' and "We Roll" but many tracks with Stack Bundles are left out or cut short. Otherwise the CD would be perfect, I would rate it a 4/5 with high replay value.
