What appeals about Mariah Carey to me is that she has been through so many troubles in life. From lost relationships to dealing with the stress of being a star and these problems and reflected within her music. Mariah Carey makes amazing music that touches the soul and for this reason I decided to pre order her upcoming CD titled Lovesongs via iTunes music store.
I love the concept of this upcoming Mariah Carey CD because the title Lovesongs indicated that it will be filled only with songs from the heart. Mariah Carey tends to make a lot of Pop songs in order to sell records but I love that these are left off of her new Lovesongs CD. The CD features 17 tracks in total and the total length is about 75 minutes from start to finish. Lovesongs features guest appearances by Usher, Nas and Joe. I think these artists mix well with the themed love album. The songs selected are filled with emotion and feelings and I love this about this CD. Her duets with Whitney Houston are not included her and I am happy that they are left out. The best tracks on Lovesongs are Dreamlover and One Sweet Day. However, I loved every track on Lovesongs because it is some of the best RNB ever released. I rate the CD 4/5 because Lovesongs is a must for any fan of Mariah Carey. I think this is a CD that makes a great gift and is well worth the money when it arrives in stores.
