Sneak Peak Album Review of Mike Jordan of Recordin by Jay-Z

Rich Jones
The only way you are unaware of Jay-Z may be that you are not alive; the reason is because according to Billboard Hip Hop charts Jay-z is one of the most successful musical acts in the world. Not just Rap; Jay-Z has sold more records than Elvis and The Beatles, which are two of the most successful acts in the world in their own right. According to Billboards via their website Billboard.com Jay-Z has managed to top both of these acts in their record sales. The reason for this is that Jay-Z has been able to find mainstream success with each of his albums by recording tracks that have appealed to those looking for club songs instead of aiming at those who are in the street as many Rap artists usually do when making music. His success is exactly that, he sells songs that are made for the clubs and this results in females buying the album and then guys want the album because females like it. This approach has made him out of the most successful artists and this is the reason I pre ordered his album titled Mike Jordan Of Recordin to give to my girlfriend who has been a fan of his long before his beef with Nas when he was raping with Foxy Brown. I pre ordered the album via Mixunit and decided to listen to the album via Youtube to see what I would be getting when it arrived.

The CD has 23 tracks which is appropriate because he is comparing himself to Michael Jordan who is believed to be probably the best basketball player of all time when he played for the Chicago Bulls. The CD is 1hr and 11 minutes total and features appearances by Bun B, Pimp C, Z-Ro, Young Jeezy, T-Pain, Kanye West, Funkmaster Flex and Pete Rock. This is some of the best Jay-Z material he has ever recorded. The best tracks on the CD are BK Go Hard, Heart Of City and I Got Flow but there are many classics here, if you love Jay-Z then this will be like a collectors item for any fan. Also, if you have never heard Jay-Z then I would suggest you pick this up because it is some of his best material that he been showcased in this mix tape. I would rate the CD a 4/5 and it is well worth the money.
