Sneak Peak Album Review of of the Blue Colour of the Sky by OK Go

Rich Jones
One of the things I have always love most about Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii is the music that comes from the video games. In my opinion, the reason that millions of people have purchased NBA Live, Mario Galaxy and Wii Fit is because of the soundtrack attached to the game play. If you love music then you should love the unique form of spaced out music that comes along with a video game release. If I had to name this form of music I would say it is futuristic pop because of the creative vocals and screaming beats. I have always love this music and I find that it is best recreated by the band OK Go. This is a band that has sold millions of records according to Billboard Charts available via their website at Billboard.com. The band also won a Grammy for their smash hit Here It Goes Again and I love their new singled titled WTF and so I decided to pre order their album via Best Buy but I thought I would listen to the CD via Youtube to see how good the CD is before it arrives in the mail.

This band consists of members Damian Kulash, Andy Ross, Dan Konopka, and Tim Nordwind and this album will be their fourth release. The album is titled Of The Blue Colour Of The Sky and 13 tracks are included on the CD. The length of the CD is about 50 minutes from start to finish and I enjoyed every minute. There is some amazing music on this CD because it seems that when the lyrics are lacking the beats are amazing. This is a CD you would listen to on a bad day and it will bring you back. The CD manages to give off the feeling of a club concert every time you listen. It transports you to another time and place in life and for this I love the CD. The best tracks on this CD are All Is NotLost, Skyscrapers, End Love and Last Leaf. In fact, Last Leaf is an amazing love song that I didn't expect to hear on this release and probably one of the best tracks the band ever recorded. I would rate this CD 3/5 and if you like this you should listen to Hot Hot Heat, Great Lakes Myth Society, Silversun Pickups, and The Dead Weather.
