Sneak Peak Album Review of Recovery by Eminem

Rich Jones
Marshall Mathers is one of the most famous Rap artists in the world and you may know him as Eminem. Anyone who does not know who Eminem is probably lives under a rock. He has sold millions of records ever since his debut CD titled Slim Shady LP. That was a CD that heavily relied on the success of Dr. Dre in order to build an audience for the upcoming Rap artist. However, it has been 11 years since that debut CD and Eminem has become a well-known name in the world of music. He is best known for being the best Caucasian Rap star ever. He has even gone from cartoon style songs to more serious and inspiring tracks. It is this versatility that has made Eminem so successful and in the process, also made him very rich off of his versatile music. Because I have been a fan of his for some time, I decided to pre order his upcoming CD titled Recovery. I ordered this CD via Amazon for 10.99 and I thought it would be a good idea to stream the content via YouTube in order to provide a review.

Recovery comes just one year after the release of the Relapse CD that was his return to music. It features 17 songs and the CD runs about 75 minutes from start to finish. Guest appearances on this CD include Rihanna and Lil Wayne, but these are the only two that appear on the CD. There has been a lot of talk within the world of Rap music that Royce would be signing to Shady Records. Also, 50 Cent is one of the best friends that Eminem has. Appearances by these artists would have made the CD a lot better; I also heard that there was a track-featuring Slaughterhouse. However, only the two above guest appearances are included on the CD. The best tracks on this CD are Cold Wind Blows, Going Through Changes, and No Love. Aside from those, Love the Way You Lie is a good single track ready for the radio. I believe this is the track that will be used to sell the album. If you are not a hardcore Eminem fan, I suggest you only pick up these 4 tracks. This album has very little replay value and the lyrics lack content. There is no lasting appeal to this album and I would rate it 2/5.

Sorry, but this review is garbage. This album has substantial lyrical content. Did you listen to the same album as everyone else, or did someone slip you a copy of Soulja Boy by accident? This album has more depth and content than anything released this year.

It's obvious that you are biased in one way or another. Either you don't like rap, or you don't like Em. It's one of the two, but in either case you shouldn't have written a review. God forbid someone takes you at your word and leaves this album alone. They will miss out on an incredible body of work.

Was Em talking about your girl in that song "Seduction" or something? You sound embittered. I guess it's true what they say - "hell hath no fury like a woman's scorn". You go! I'm sure you've deeply moved all 3 of your readers with this insightful review.

This review has very little value and lacks content. There is no lasting appeal to this review and I would rate it 0/5.

God... where do they get you people... is ther

I understand everybody is entitled to their opinion, but are you insane? No replay value? Low lyrical content? You don't even delve into specifics and say why you felt that way. What kind of Eminem fan are you? Even a fair weather one can see that this lp ranks as his 2nd/3rd best album, AND is an instant classic. You must have Down's Syndrome or sumin. SMFH.
