Sneak Peak Album Review of Sweet 7 by Sugababes

Rich Jones
Sugababes are a group that I first heard about during an interview with Jay-Z on Z11 radio station in New York. He spoke about looking for the most talented groups for his Roc Nation record label. The concept behind Roc Nation is supposed to be a collection of the most talented acts in the world and this is the reason that Sugababes have been signed by Jay-Z to Roc Nation. They are an English Pop music group that has sold millions of records around the world according to Billboard Charts available via their website at Billboard.com. This is the reason Jay-Z decided to sign Sugababes to Roc Nation and I have been a fan of Sugababes for at least three years. I loved their single Get Sexy because it is Pop music that can be played at the club or almost any location. I decided to pre order their upcoming album titled Sweet 7 via Amazon but I thought it would be a good idea to listen to the CD via YouTube before it arrives in stores.

Sweet 7 includes 12 tracks and the total length from start to finish is about 50 minutes. The length of Sweet 7 is a bit short but I do like the material that is included on the upcoming CD. In addition to the track mentioned above, the best tracks on Sweet 7 are About A Girl, Miss Everything and She's A Mess. I like this CD because I enjoy the confident lyrics and electronic beats since it makes for great dance music. I also find that Sweet 7 is an uplifting CD that people just enjoy listening to and this is not the case with most Pop music today. I believe that Jay-Z signed Sugababes to Roc Nation because he was able to see a unique mix of talent here. The music has a large appeal and this is the reason Sugababes have been so successful. I also enjoyed the guest appearance by Sean Kingston on Sweet 7. Productions on this CD include Stargate, Ryan Tedder and RedOne amongst others. Sugababes is a group that reminds me a lot of Danity Kane because of their link to Roc Nation. Danity Kane was a female group that broke up on Bad Boy and I find their music similar. I only hope Sugababes will not break up because Sweet 7 is a 3/5 rated CD in my eyes you should pick it up when it arrives in stores.
