Sneak Peak Album Review of Taller Children by Elizabeth and the Catapult

Rich Jones
Elizabeth And The Catapult is a band that I first discovered actually by mistake. I had attended a Justin Nozuka concert which I expected would be pretty boring and I arrived an hour early and after waiting outside for this time I found out that Elizabeth And The Catapult would be the opening act of this concert and then Sam Bradley would perform before Justin Nozuka would go on stage. I couldn't hear a word of the Sam Bradley concert because all the girls were going crazy and he was mumbling so his set was pretty boring and so was Justin's and it was two hours which is way too long. The bright spot was Elizabeth who blew me away with her voice when she sung Not You're Mother and so I decided to pre order their CD titled Taller Children from Best Buy and I thought I would listen to the CD via Youtube before the CD arrives in stores.

The CD includes 12 songs and is over an hour in length, it features the songs Race You and Golden Ink which are two great songs in addition to the single mentioned above. My favorite tracks on this CD are Gold Ink and Apathy which is a song about the struggle of finding the will to survive and find happiness in the world. Elizabeth has an amazing voice, this is not Susan Boyle here so if you like Susan stay away! Elizabeth has one of the best voices I have ever heard and she is prettier than Kim Kardashian or Kourtney Kardashian. The track Taller Children is one, which pokes fun at Wall Street bankers and their greedy ways. Sure, this would probably anger Rush Limbaugh but I am far from him and I share political views that are more liberal than Barack Obama. As such, I love the track and I am happy that she was able to create such a unique track. The track Apathy is probably one of the best songs I have ever heard, it's so good that I will often skin it so that the track doesn't get played and worn out by me. This is one amazing CD, probably one of the best I have ever heard. It is well worth any amount of money and I would rate it a perfect 5/5. If you are conservative or do not enjoy music of a beautiful voice then skip this CD I suggest, otherwise pick it up.
