"Away We Go"

Stars include John Krasinski, Cheryl Hines, Maya Rudolph, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and Jeff Daniels. It is directed by Sam Mendes. Expecting their first child, a couple travels around the United States, in search of the perfect place to start their new family. This Focus Features comedy/drama is Not Yet Rated. This film is slated for limited release.

"Land of the Lost"

Stars include Will Ferrell, Anna Friel, Danny R. McBride, and Jorma Taccone. It is directed by Brad Silberling. Dr. Rick Marshall, a disgraced paleontologist, his assistant, and a macho tour guide end up in a strange world of dinosaurs, monkey people, and reptiles. This film is based on the 1974 television series, "Land of the Lost." This Universal Pictures comedy/fantasy/adventure/kids film is Not Yet Rated.

"Lorna's Silence"

Stars include Arte Dobroshi, Olivier Gourmet, Jeremie Renier, and Fabrizio Rongione. It is directed by Jean-Pierre Dardenne and Luc Dardenne. Lorna, a young Albanian woman, plans to open a snack bar with her boyfriend, Sokol. That is, until she becomes an accomplice in mobster, Fabio's, diabolical plan. This Sony Classics drama is rated R.

"The Hangover"

Stars include Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, and Zach Galifianakis. It is directed by Todd Phillips. After three buddies lose their best friend at his Vegas bachelor party 40 hours prior to his wedding, they retrace their steps to find out what went wrong. This Warner Brothers comedy is Not Yet Rated.

"Imagine That"

Stars include Eddie Murphy, Thomas Haden Church, Nicole Ari Parker, DeRay Davis, Ronny Cox, Vanessa Williams, and Timm Sharp. It is directed by Karey Kirkpatrick. A financial executive discovers answers to his problems through an imaginary world created by his daughter. This Paramount comedy/fantasy is rated PG.

"The Proposal"

Stars include Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds, Mary Steenburgen, Craig T. Nelson, Oscar Nunez, Mini Anden, and Michael Mosley. It is directed by Anne Fletcher. When Margaret Tate a high-powered book editor, faces deportation from Canada, she lies by saying she is engaged to unsuspecting assistant, Andrew Paxton, a colleague she has tormented for years. This Touchstone Pictures romance/comedy is Not Yet Rated.

"The Taking of Pelham 123"

Stars include Denzel Washington, John Travolta, James Gandolfini, and John Turturro. It is directed by Tony Scott. Here, four ruthless hijackers take over a New York City subway train and hold passengers for ransom. This film is a remake of Morton Freedgood's novel "The Taking of Pelham One Two Three." This Columbia Pictures action/thriller/remake is rated R.

"The Haunting in Connecticut"

Stars include Virginia Madsen, Kyle Gallner, Martin Donovan, and Amanda Crew. It is directed by Peter Cornwell. When Sara and Peter Campbell's son is diagnosed with cancer, they take their family to Connecticut for his treatment. Disturbed by paranormal activity, Matt's mother seeks out help from an enigmatic priest, whose presence just makes matters worse. Believe it or not, this film is based on true events as told by the Snedeker family and their alleged encounter with this paranormal. This Lionsgate horror/thriller is PG-13.

"Year One"

Stars include Jack Black, Michael Cera, Olivia Wilde, and Oliver Platt. It is directed by Harold Ramis. A couple of lazy hunter-gathers take an epic journey through the ancient world after they're banished from their primitive village. This Columbia Pictures comedy is Not Yet Rated.

"My Sister's Keeper"

Stars include Alec Baldwin, Cameron Diaz, Abigail Breslin, Jason Patric, Joan Cusack, and Elizabeth Daily. It is directed by Nick Cassavetes. When a defense attorney and her husband are sued by their 13-year-old daughter for emancipation, they return to court to defend themselves. This New Line Cinema drama is rated PG-13.

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen"

Stars include Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Isabel Lucas, and Rainn Wilson. It is directed by Michael Bay. In this sequel to 2007's "Transformers," the evil Decepticons plan to capture Sam Witwicky. Thus, a battle erupts at the Giza pyramid complex in Egypt, where our heroes end up, due to the Decepticons' master plan. Thus, more robots are introduced and the scope has been expanded to several countries. This DreamWorks action/sci-fi/sequel is Not Yet Rated.

    I feel like I'm just becoming a huge movie snob, because almost none of these excite me. hate that about myself...I used to be so easy to please at the theater, then I became a film student. Now I can't help but dissect everything I see.
