Sneak Peek Album Review of Return of the Wu & Friends by Wu Tang Clan

Rich Jones
One of the most successful Rap groups of all time in my opinion has been the Wu Tang Clan. They have been a part of music since 1993 and the group has released some of the best Rap music that I have ever heard. I think the reason for their success is that the group included members like Method Man, RZA and ODB just to name a few. I think this group has been so successful because of the varied styles that existed on each album. Method Man would rate about drugs while ODB would create songs that showed a gritty reality.

The unique thing about this group to me is that they actually lived in the world that they were written about. ODB appeared on MTV and showed his card for food stamps and later cashed his check live on the air for the world to see. It is this aggressive attitude that the world loved so much. Their first album titled Enter the Wu-Tang sold millions of copies and became one of the most successful albums of all time according to Billboard charts available via their website at billboards.com.

Ever since the release of that album I have been a fan and I love Cappadonna most of all the Wu Tang members so I decided to pre order their upcoming album titled Return Of The Wu & Friends. I paid $10 to pre order the album via the Itunes Music Store but I thought it would be a good idea to listen to the CD via Youtube before it arrives in stores to see what I would be getting for the money.

This CD includes 15 tracks and the length is about 60 minutes from start to finish. The first Wu Tang album featured about 12 members and this CD includes many of them. The artists included on this CD are Masta Killa, Method Man, Inspectah Deck, Gza, Raekwon, Ghostface, Ica da Don, Buddah Bless, ODB, Bad Luck and Eyes Low amongst others. The best tracks on the CD are Clap 2010, All Flowers and Early Grave but there is plenty to listen to here. I enjoy the mixture of styles and the unique beats that change based on the various members of Wu Tang featured on each track. There are rhymes that are both hardcore and clever and I love this CD for that so I rate it 4/5.
