Sneak Peek: Batman 3

According to foxnews.com, Megan Fox will possibly be starring in the third installment of Christopher Nolan's Batman series. The starlet will be taking on the role as Selina Kyle aka Catwoman. Many people recognize Fox from movies such as Transformers:Revenge of the Fallen and Jennifer's Body. The lioness villain will be making her trip onto the big screen for the third time in the last eighteen years. This version of Catwoman will likely have an even grittier background compared to the last two incarnations since the Dark Knight had a dark atmosphere. Many fans thought that Nolan's next Batman villain was to be the Riddler since the character has dark back story similar to the Joker's. The last time the Riddler made an appearance on the big screen was in 1995 when Joel Schumacher released his first of his two Batman films. Jim Carrey did a decent job as the Riddler, but he made the character a little too comical at times, but he did do a better job than Val Kilmer otherwise. The news of Fox playing the Catwoman may irritate the fanboy community, but that's exactly what happened when Heath Ledge was first cast for the Dark Knight.

According to reelzchannel.com, Warner Bros. will be announcing their plans for the long awaited batman film around January 2010. Whether Christopher Nolan will be a part of this film remains to be seen, but one thing for sure is that Christian Bale will suit up as Batman once again. There have been rumors of Jake Gyllenhall being the next Batman, but the chances of that not happening are about 99%. A Batman film without Bale wouldn't make sense anyway. Also, actors Gary Oldman, Michael Caine, and Morgan Freeman are likely to return for the next installment of Batman as well. That is an excellent sign for all Bat fans. Believe it or not, I do think Fox has what it takes to execute her role since she is in fact very attractive unlike many of the so-called hot starlets (Lohan) that Hollywood keeps shoving down our throats. Just because Kate Beckinsale is attractive based on a selected number of magazines, does not mean she will play a great Catwoman. Unfortunately, it's really up to the casting directors to decide, but since it is a Nolan film, things should go smoothly.
