So we are in September already and October is just around the corner so you know what that means right? I am here with my monthly 2007 movie guide! I have selected four films here that I feel might worth a look. One is a gut-wrenching drama that unfortunately many American families have had to deal with in today's world. The second looks to be a fun action adventure that the whole family can enjoy. The third is a romantic drama and the fourth well all I have to say is Ben Stiller! So without further ado, let's get started on the following films that will hit theaters this October!

Grace Is Gone

This painful story tells the tale of a father who learns his wife was killed while fighting in Iraq. He can't bear to place this kind of burden on his two young daughters, so he opts for taking them on a road trip. This film won an award at this year's Sundance Film Festival. "Grace Is Gone" stars Nathan Adloff, John Cusack, Doug Dearth, Gracie Bednarczyk and Heather O. Craig. This drama is written and directed by James C. Strouse. "Grace Is Gone" with it's limited release opens in theaters on October 5th.

The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising

This fantasy drama is based on a book by Susan Cooper. It revolves around a 13 year old boy who discovers that he is the only remaining immortal left in a group of others who have devoted their lives to waging war against evil. He must journey through different time periods to locate clues with the final conclusion ending in a face-off. "The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising" stars Ian McShane, Alexander Ludwig, Frances Conroy, Christopher Eccleston and Gregory Smith. This film is directed by David L. Cunningham. "The Seeker: The Dark Is Rising" is to be released in theaters on October 5th.

The Good Night

This romantic comedy film drama is written and directed by Jake Paltrow which is a first for him. Does his last name look familiar? It should because he is brother to actress, Gwyneth Paltrow and son of the late Bruce Paltrow. The plot of this film is rather interesting as it revolves around a man who is no longer happy with his own life and because of this he begins having deep lucid dreams. These dreams introduce him to the woman who he feels will make his life complete. Problems occur though when he finds out that the woman does exist in real life but can she possibly live up to his the perfect woman in his dreams? "The Good Night" stars Martin Freeman, Gwyneth Paltrow, Penelope Cruz and Danny DeVito. "The Good Night" with it's limited release opens in theaters on October 5th.

The Heartbreak Kid

This hilarious romantic comedy follows the life of a man who feels like he's met the right woman for him and soon marries her. Within a few months of marriage, to his horror, she's the girl of what nightmares are made out of. While on his honeymoon, he falls for the woman he should be with so he is in a bit of a dilemma. "The Heartbreak Kid" stars Ben and Jerry Stiller, Michelle Monaghan, Malin Akerman and Rob Corddry. This film is directed by the Farrelly brothers who also brought you, "There's Something About Mary". "The Heartbreak Kid" is to be released in theaters on October 5th.
