Due for Release December 6

This is a sneak peek review of the children's DVD Thomas & Friends: Rescue on the Rails. The video comes from Lionsgate and HiT Entertainment. It's due for release on December 6. I was provided a copy for review, but was under no obligation to recommend this video. My observations are my own.

Synopsis of the Children's DVD Thomas & Friends: Rescue on the Rails

What's going on around the Island of Sodor this time? Rescues take center stage in this video involving the engines and even a bus. First, in "Fiery Flynn," the fire engine gets so excited about being able to put out an engine fire in Thomas, that he fails to get the complete description of the emergency and goes on a wild goose chase, putting the main character in dire straits. Then, in "James to the Rescue," James becomes so self-important about his rescue role, he dismisses the help offered by Toby and others even though he needs it for a massive job. In "Edward the Hero," this engine thinks that being funny, kind, and gentle while performing some "rescue" duties isn't heroic, even though he learns otherwise. Finally, in this children's DVD, "Stop that Bus!" features Bertie (the bus) neglecting his duties (to wait for and then take Sir Topham Hatt's mother on a journey) so he can be toured around by the tank engine, even though he soon regrets it.

In between the episodes (on continuous play), Driver Perkins prepares for a magic show in the engine drivers' commons room, plus there's a funky karaoke music video to the Thomas & Friends theme song as well as a game called "Who's Pulling into the Station?"

More about the Children's DVD Thomas & Friends: Rescue on the Rails

Once again, children learn some valuable life lessons while watching the fast-paced action, quality graphics and storylines. This includes to listen fully to directions, teamwork, accepting oneself, and dependability over the course of about 50 minutes. The Driver Perkins storylines between the episodes in continuous play mode continue to be engaging and fun to watch, too. I recommend this video.

The Suggested Retail Price is $14.98. One can listen to this children's DVD in English, Spanish, or French. You can purchase this product beginning December 6 via retail outlets like Amazon.com. For more information about Thomas & Friends, go to the official website.

This sounds like a great dvd for kids. Teamwork is always a great way for children to learn about other people and how things can go more smoothly with a team effort.
