Sneak Peek Review of the Children's Animated DVD Timmy Time: Timmy Steals the Show
Due Out February 22 from Lionsgate and HiT Entertainment
Synopsis and Review of the Children's Animated DVD Timmy Time: Timmy Steals the Show
Timmy is a character from the Shaun the Sheep series. In that, he's been a spoiled and bratty lamb, but now that he's in preschool, he's a little less bratty but still very curious. Nonetheless, he's trying to grow up and has a lot of comedic mishaps along the way. Five episodes make up this video. In the first one, "Timmy Steals the Show," the preschool class puts on a talent show, and the lamb has trouble with his magic wand while his classmates have mishaps setting up and performing. In "Timmy's Picnic," the lamb goes on a picnic with the other animals and his teacher, where they learn about plant identification and how to clean up after themselves after chowing down. Little Apricot's security blanket is misplaced and misused during playtime in "Timmy Brings a Smile." The lamb shows no interest in hula or square dancing, instead wanting to dance to hip hop music in "Timmy Can't Dance." The final episode in this children's animated DVD is called "Timmy Says Sorry," where the lamb's horseplay with a soccer ball causes damage and mayhem amongst his classmates.
The bonus part of this product contains a sing-along. Despite the titles of the video and episodes that make it seem like everything is all about the little sheep, it actually isn't. His classmates like a little duckling, kitten, owl, piglet and skunk all get a fair amount of air time during the episodes, which should really keep very little children entertained; and thus, I recommend Timmy Time: Timmy Steals the Show. This product runs about 43 minutes in length. The children's animated DVD has a Suggested Retail Price of $14.98. The video will be available at retail outlets like Amazon.com on February 22. For more information about Timmy, go to this website.
I was provided a review copy of this product, but was under no obligation to recommend it. My observations are my own.
