This is a sneak peek review of the children's DVD Thomas & Friends: Pop Goes Thomas. It comes from Lionsgate and HiT Entertainment, and is due for release on March 1. I was provided a review copy of this Thomas & Friends children's DVD, but wasn't under any obligation to recommend it. My observations are my own.

Synopsis and Review of the Children's DVD Thomas & Friends: Pop Goes Thomas

Four episodes make up this video that concern the doings on the Island of Sodor where the engines learn more life lessons. First, in "Pop Goes Thomas," the tank engine hears and likes popping noises while delivering lemonade to the picnic, but doesn't realize that the corks from the refreshments are popping due to his going over rough tracks, so he continues going over rough tracks, which causes damage and mayhem. Sir Topham Hatt's mama is taken around Misty Island by Thomas, who thinks he knows what an older person likes to see, but he fails to ask his VIP passenger in "Jitters and Japes." Thomas tries to play with Percy and also teach Dash, Bash, and Ferdinand how to be useful engines at the same time, and in the process, messes up at both tasks in "Thomas' Crazy Day."

The final episode in this children's DVD Thomas & Friends: Pop Goes Thomas is called "Pingy Pongy Pick Up." Emily is given the task of delivering the dirty laundry and later picking up the clean uniforms of the Sodor United soccer team, but she'd rather help out with the other jobs centered around the team's home opener that she thinks are more important. In between episodes, Driver Perkins tries to figure out what costume he's going to wear to Sir Topham Hatt's costume party. Also included in this children's DVD is a "Hide & Seek" game as well as an episode from Roary The Racing Car called "Roary's First Day."

Thomas and the other engines once again show how to be very useful after they learn more lessons about life, including appreciating and making the most of the tasks given you, not trying to do two things at once, and listening to what others want; and so, I recommend this children's DVD for the animated morals taught.

The running time for the video is about 50 minutes, according to the product box. It's scheduled to be available for sale to the general public on March 1, which you can look for at your favorite shopping outlet(s) like Amazon.com. The suggested retail price for the video is $14.98. For more information about Thomas & Friends DVDs, go to this website here.
