Synopsis and Review of the Children's Animated DVD Timmy Time: Picture Day
This series is a spin-off from the Shaun the Sheep series, in which the youngest member of that cast has his own show, taking place generally at his pre-school. Five episodes make up this video. First, in "Snapshot Timmy," it's a challenge for the teachers to get the class photo taken, beginning with the lamb and his duckling classmate getting all muddy, but more non-stop mayhem ensues from there. In "Timmy Wants the Blues," the spoiled lamb gets on a "blue kick," where everything from his toys, food, and even paint has to be blue. The ornery Shaun the Sheep character begins causing trouble for his classmates when he doesn't get the drum set during music class in "Timmy Wants the Drum." The episode "Timmy's Puppet" sees the lamb misplace his hand puppet, and it becomes a challenge for the teacher to get him to calm down and deal with the loss. The final episode in this children's animated DVD, "Timmy the Builder," sees the lamb not only struggle trying to build a tent, but the teasing by his little owl classmate only makes matters worse. The bonus part of this product contains a sing-along of the Timmy Time theme.
The animation and graphics of this series are very bright and colorful while the stories are paced well, never getting boring, providing me with many chuckles. Little children will even learn some good lessons from the little animals about getting along with their peers and how acting unreasonable and petty aren't constructive. So I recommend this children's animated DVD.
This product runs about 45 minutes in length. The video has a Suggested Retail Price of $14.98 and can be heard in English. Timmy Time: Picture Day will be available at retail outlets like Amazon.com on June 28. For more information about this character, go to this website.
