Sneak Preview: Season 3, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
FX Comedy Stays on the Un-P.C. Side of the Street
It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is a half hour comedy about four friends who run a bar in the title city. They are Mac, Dennis, Dee (Dennis and Dee are twin brother and sister), and Charlie. Mac, Charlie, and Dennis own the bar. Dee works as a bartender. The foursome is completely self-absorbed, insensitive, and politically incorrect. The show prides itself on it's un-P.C. humor tackling issues from race to abortion to drug use to all the stupid and wrong things people do trying to get other people to sleep with them. Here's what you can expect this season which begins the second week of September:
1. More politically incorrect humor. It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is the story of three slackers who own a bar, plus the sister of one of them who serves as a bartender. The crew is known for it's special brand of insanely rude and socially unconscienable behavior. This coming season will be no different. Topics taken on in the first few episodes include the environment- and how you can use it to get revenge; babies - and how they can be used to make money from TV ads, if they're the right race - and how to change their race to fit your needs; dead parents, and how to get their money; and women in sports- namely how Dennis and Mac can kick Dee's butt when she tries to out compete them.
2. Parental bonding. Don't worry, people: Frank is back. Frank Reynolds (Danny DeVito, at his disgusting best) was found not to be Dee and Dennis' father, but might be Charlie's. But does this mean Bruce who might be Dee and Dennis' real dad? Look for Stephen Collins (yes, Rev. Camden from 7th Heaven) to put in another appearance. As for the Reynolds' mom - look for her to also figure into the season in a way that involves heaven, though, not 7th heaven necessarily.
3. McPoyles. I missed the episodes of this show where the McPoyle family became the gang's nemesis...nemeses...neme....enemeis. But if you enjoy the grotesque retardation of this inbred lot, you will be pleased to know they figure prominently several episodes. They're so nasty! And this year- they're armed!
4. Charlie's obsession with the cafe waitress. We all know what went down last season- Waitress what's her face liked Dennis, Charlie continued to like her. No one got what they wanted, except perhaps Frank, who, of all people, was there to get the Waitress on the re-bound. This season, even if just briefly, Charlie will get into the waitresses road- but now obsession has turned to a grudge. He really hates her now...though, as we know, there's a thin line between love and hate.

- Why It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Should Be Titled It's Never Funny in Philade...The promos for the FX Network (so-called) comedy It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are absolutely offensive...because they are so unfunny, not because they are anywhere near being edgy.
- The Wrath of the McPoyles to It's Always Sunny in PhilidelphiaFor anyone who knows and loves the It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia "gang" you have undoubtedly heard of the McPoyles. This incestual broth and sister trio is back and it is revenge they are after.

Post a CommentHilarious article Abe. I'm going through the whole series very slowly and am in season 3 right now. I can't get enough of Sunny. I love Charlie Day. These guys are the funniest people on tv--and the most irreverent, un-PC, and obnoxious!
