Sarah Ganly
There are plenty of sneaky ways to get kids exercising that are actually fun and good for your family. Kids may look at exercise as a chore, but when you incorporate a fun activity with exercise kids will be healthier without even trying.

The first thing to consider when trying to find ways to get your kids to exercise is fun. Everyone likes to have fun, and making exercise fun is a way to guarantee success. What your kids consider fun is the important thing. Once you figure out what interests your kids there are plenty of activities that will provide exercise.

If your child likes the outdoors this is a great place to start. Taking kids for hikes or to local swimming holes is a great form of exercise. Make sure to take the extra long route when walking in the woods to burn more exercise. This may seem sneaky, but it will turn out to be a blast for you and your kids.

If your child likes video games this is an excellent way to get kids up and moving. Many of the new game systems have games that are physically interactive. Video games that your kids will enjoy while getting a workout can range in interests from dancing to boxing.

Another sneaky way to get kids to exercise is also a way you can get them learning too. Taking kids to museums or fairs that cater to topics they are interested in will motivate your kids in more ways than one. Fairs and museums are based on all sorts of topics including science, art, sports, history, and culture. Walking the vast halls of these types of places will leave your kids tired out from all the effort.

Try signing your child up for a sport. There are many sports at local schools, and kids will enjoy the teamwork and feeling of achievement. If children are not necessarily interested in being on a sports team, try finding a sport you can do with them at home, and you both will get a good workout.

Another great way to sneak exercise into your child's daily routine is by getting them a membership to a local gym or fitness center. Many of these places have swimming pools, and swimming is one of the best exercises you can do.

These sneaky ways to get your kids exercising will improve your child's health. Try these ideas, and you and your child will benefit.
