Sneezin' Season

A Year of Poems: Day Two Hundred and Seven

Diane Zoller-Ciatto
God Bless You we say
At least a hundred times a day
But nothing seems to help
Cause you just keep sneezing away!

Boxes of Kleenex
Just aren't enough
To blow your nose
And make it unstuff!

With chicken soup and Sudafed
And honey in your tea
I haven't seen a nose this red
Since it was on the Christmas tree!

Hah, so cleverly written! I'm so lucky I don't get these sneezing spells during any season, but for so many of my friends, besides relatives on my husband's side, saying God Bless You is their daily mantra.
