Snickers Peanut Butter Squared Review

Amy Brantley
I'll be the first to admit that I have a sweet tooth. I also enjoy trying new things. So, when my boyfriend came home with Snickers Peanut Butter Squared, I couldn't wait to try it. After all, if there's one thing I love, it's the combination of peanut butter and chocolate. Would these bars be something special or just another humdrum candy bar?

Snickers Peanut Butter Squared comes packaged with two squares, which I like because that makes it easier to eat one now and save the rest for later. The bars have a layer of nougat, a layer of peanut butter with peanuts and a layer of caramel. The squares are then wrapped in milk chocolate. Sounds good right?

There's no denying the fact that these bars are good. I love the combination of layers and love the crunch of the peanuts mixed in with all the soft layers. The chocolate is also very smooth. However, though this bar may be unique to the Snickers line, it was very reminiscent of another candy bar on the market.

After the first bite of the Snickers Peanut Butter Squared, I immediately began think I'd tasted the candy bar somewhere before. Then it hit me. This candy bar was very similar in taste to the Reese's Nutrageous Bar. The only thing different was the introduction of nougat. Personally, I think the Nutrageous Bar is much better.

A two bar serving of Snickers Peanut Butter Squared has 250 calories, 13 grams of fat, 6 grams of saturated fat, 5mg of cholesterol, 150mg of sodium, 30 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 24 grams of sugar, 4 grams of protein, 4% of your daily calcium and 2% of your daily iron.

I would have to give Snickers Peanut Butter Squared 3 out of 5 stars. The candy bar is good, but it's nothing spectacular. In fact, it's pretty average. If you love peanut butter and chocolate, I do recommend trying it. However, don't buy it expecting something as good as what you'll get from Reese's. These bars aren't bad, but they can't compete with the king of peanut butter candy bars.

I didn't like it- the weak flavor tasted generic, like a no-name candy. Reg Snickers has a lot more flavor than the Squared bar. I agree that Nutrageous are MUCH better too

Thanks for the honest review. :-) I have been tempted by the ads for these but have not bought them yet. Good work!

Yeah, Reese's has done a good job of cornering the peanut butter candy market.
