SNL is Way Overboard!

After Airing Tiger Woods' Domestic Violence Skit, Headlines Unanimously Criticize "Saturday Night Live"

The skit of Saturday Night Live that made fun of Tiger Woods' alleged domestic scandal aired last night of December 5, 2009 earned unanimous criticism from various headlines.

Web and print commentaries were all saying it was such a desperate move for SNL to attract viewers and gain ratings, as it made fun of Tiger's alleged domestic violence with wife Elin Nordegren. And, what's worst was having Rihanna- a victim of domestic violence herself from ex-boyfriend Chris Brown, as one of their guest in this musical show.

SNL's alleged insensitivity was found very offending not only for the Woods but, for Rihanna as well.

The sketch featured Kenan Thompson and show host Blake Lively, highlighted on the alleged argument that happened between Tiger Woods and wife, Elin before the SUV crash that happened November 27, 2009.

Aside from SNL, NBC's "Weekend Updates" on and off joke around and took on the golfer.

Maybe SNL and NBC as whole thought that viewers would enjoy watching the sketch, as they make fun of Tiger's domestic ordeal.

Domestic violence is not funny! I'm sure neither Elin nor Tiger (of course), have enjoyed watching the skit, as SNL poked and made fun of their family's problem.

I wonder how they can sell this kind of news and entertainment, as they make fun of other people's difficulties and sufferings. Just so they know; people are not entertained at all!

Tiger had admitted that he's at fault, for letting his family down with "transgression," who are we to cast a stone?

The Woods are believed to be on the stage of sorting their marital affairs and negotiating on the pre-nuptial agreement, which is good for Elin and the kids.

Tiger on the other hand, admitted his infidelity and would just like to move on with his life, his family and his career.

In Woods last statement at his website, Tiger thanked the sponsors and players for being part of the tournament that supports his foundation.

According to the Associated Press, Woods withdrew from the Chevron World Challenge at the start of the week, citing unspecified injuries from a car accident Nov. 27 outside Florida home.

He likewise expressed gratitude to all his staff and the volunteers, and said he was sorry for failing to fulfill his duties as a host and player in the US$5.75-million tournament.

With all these apologies, aren't his critics satisfied yet? I wonder if Tiger has to kneel for them to forgive, give me a break!

As time goes on, and Tiger Woods's affairs keep tallying up, a simple "I'm sorry" just doesn't ring true. He is obviously a man who cannot remain faithful, so his hollow words of feeling sad and ashamed will most likely be short-lived. I hope his wife Elin has the strength and self-respect to walk away from this man who obviously does not want to be in a marriage. Elin is a beautiful woman and should have no problem finding a man who deserves her. Tiger Woods can keep crawling around with the skanks of the universe if he so desires.
