Snooki Gets Arrested in New Jersey While Filming Jersey Shore

Snooki gets arrested? It sounds like a good episode title for Jersey Shore. Snooki gets arrested, Snooki goes to jail, and Snooki gets a raise also sound like interesting children's book title. Unfortunately, none of them will be found in the fiction section of the book store, because all of those things have happened to Snooki (A.K.A. Nicole Polizzi) while down in New Jersey preparing for filming Jersey Shore season 3 for MTV. Just a day after the season premiere of Jersey Shore season 2, Snooki is making headlines for all the wrong reasons.

According to TMZ, Snooki was arrested for disorderly conduct, and was taken into custody by the Seaside Heights Police Department. She was then transported to the Seaside Heights jail in New Jersey, and boy were the pictures taken at the scene extremely unflattering for Polizzi. For those that don't even know who Nicole Polizzi is, and you probably don't if you don't care about scripted reality television, she is one of the "stars" of Jersey Shore on MTV, which is a knock-off of MTV's The Real World. Her nickname is Snooki, and she has become pretty infamous because of the show.

With Snooki getting arrested on Friday, it is only going to bring more attention to Jersey Shore, a circumstance which MTV will gladly live with. While on the surface they may not condone the behavior that got Snooki arrested, they probably are secretly excited that they are getting a lot of free publicity for the show. As for Snooki, it's not surprising at all that she was taken into custody, and maybe she will learn something from the bad press she is about to receive.
