Snoop Dogg "Malice N Wonderland" CD Sneak Peak Album Review

Snoop Dogg is probably one of the most well known rap stars currently on the music scene. There is good reason for this, I remember hearing snoop ever since I first started listening to Rap and Hip Hop in 1994. That was over 15 years ago and Snoop has been hard at work in this time. He is now on his tenth studio solo album and this is an accomplishment alone. Snoop has also appeared on CDs with his Dog Pound group members on occasion. He has also been the cause of various Death Row Records previously unreleased CDs. He is best known for collaborations with Dr. Dre and 2pac. I have been a long time fan of Snoop but the sales for his last album "Ego Trippin" which featured the smash hit "Sexual Eruption" were less than stellar. However, Snoop has sold over 30 million records so this left me to wonder if his 10th solo studio album would be better than his previous album "Ego Trippin".

I was able to listen to this "Malice N Wonderland" via Youtube. I wanted to see if this CD would be worth the price when it arrives in stores just in time for Christmas. The CD has 14 tracks in total. It features great appearances from R. Kelly, Lil Jon, Jazmine Sullivan, The-Dream, Brandy and Pharrell (of The Neptures). The track titles "Special" which featues Brandy is probably one of the best tracks on the CD. It is a great mix of RNB and Hip Hop. It is basically a love song in which Snoop is speaking to his love and expressing his feelings. There is a magic on this song which is missing in other RNB cuts such as "Pimpin Aint EZ" which features R. Kelly. This is probably one of the worst songs on the CD. The song "1800" which features Lil Jon is a club song that will secure Snoop a song on the radio and result in some decent sales for this album. "Different Languages" is a song about a sexual relationship from two different points of view. These are some of the best songs on the CD. However, the rest is worth a listen and I can assure you the old Snoop Dogg is back. This gets a 4/5 rating and I suggest that you pick this one up when it hits stores for Christmas for yourself.
