I sigh...
As I look out,
Snow is falling... again.
Upon the ground, a white mantle
Deepens hourly; layer upon layer,
Inch by inch... endless... no respite...
Shovel in hand, once more,
Wearily now,
I sigh...
As I look out,
Snow is falling... again.
Upon the ground, a white mantle
Deepens hourly; layer upon layer,
Inch by inch... endless... no respite...
Shovel in hand, once more,
Wearily now,
I sigh...

Excellent! More snow in CT next Wednesday!
I try not to get too weary until March. I shoveled again today and enjoyed the brisk air. I have to say things like that to keep my spirits up.
LOL and just think of us here in South GA who delight in every flake...hehe. Enjoyed your poem.
Stay warm!!
Great poem & photo Mike :)
Great work as always, Mike!!
Fortunately our snow hasn't returned since New Year, but I can imagine you have your hands full (literally) with those snowfalls.
More snow is coming to the northeast next week. CT set the record for snow fall in CT. CT has not received this much snow in the past hundred years.
Love the title, Mike. Think Spring!
Extreme weather, tough to bear. I have never experienced real winter, having lived in tropical climates in Asia, all my life. Mostly the seasons are hot, hotter and hottest, even when it rains! Picture looks a different world to where I live now. Pray you get respite soon, Mike - siva
