The second snowfall of the season
Tiptoed into the day
With gently falling flakes
The kids in school can't wait to play!
Tiptoed into the day
With gently falling flakes
The kids in school can't wait to play!
Unlike the last snowfall
That arrived in an angry state
With blowing winds and iciness
Totally not a nice playmate!
So we can expect to see snowmen
Gracing our front yards
But now with snow on all the branches
It looks like scenes from picture postcards!

Glad you're still a poet! Snow angels were always fun!
I didn't move far enough south - we are supposed to get 6 inches more starting this evening...that tgranslates into schools being closed for at least two weeks!
super job
It certainly does look like a postcard. =)
No two days are the same! Nature is infinite in its variety. Sweet poem & photo, Diane - siva
Kids can make designs in the snow just by walking and dancing in it!
Somehow we here in Maine missed out on your latest snowfall... well done, Diane!
Yes! We were let go from work early today because of the snow. The campus was so beautiful that I had to snap a few pictures. I didn't have my camera with me, so I used my new cell phone.
