This article will cover the Snowshoe Rabbit non-combat vanity pet available to players within World of Warcraft Cataclysm. This guide will cover various details about the pet as well as how both Horde and Alliance players should go about trying to attain the creature. You can also find pictures of the Snowshoe Rabbit in the upper right corner which you can click on to make larger.
Snowshoe Rabbit is a non-combat pet that is available to Alliance players through purchasing from one of their faction aligned vendors in the Dwarven race's starting zone. The vendor in particular is Yarlyn Amberstill in the zone of Dun Morogh who sells the Rabbit Crate for the Snowshoe for 20 silver coins a pop and at unlimited supply. Players can pick up several to later sell on the faction or neutral auction houses, the latter of which is where Horde players will have to mostly turn to in order to pick up one of these creatures at an inflated price, possibly even setting up a trade through the Blizzard forums. Lastly the Snowshoe Rabbit is one of a large group of pets that all have a small chance of dropping from the Satchel of Exotic Mysteries items which are rewarded for call to arms and unfortunately only easily available to certain in-demand classes when it comes to dungeon finding.
The Snowshoe rabbit posses a very low poly model reminiscent of the quality of graphics when the original game was released, coupled with a low res texture of mostly white except for black beady eyes. Due to its size, the rough model is not always that noticeable, however it certainly doesn't hold a candle to the newer companions. Thankfully the Snowshoe Rabbit is at least somewhat animated, with face grooming and ear scratching when left to idle about.
