So You Think You Can Dance - The Winner is Sabra

Well it's certainly about time, a girl won So You Think You Can Dance! Out of all the contestants, Sabra has only been in the bottom three once in the beginning, so I think that it was a small part of the reason why she won. Sabra also can perform any dance well, and from her heart, like the judges said, so I should have known it would be her instead of Danny Tidwell. At least he made it to the top two, like his brother Travis last year.

Sabra Johnson is 20 year-old Lebanese dancer that has been many places. She was born in the Netherlands, then lived in Germany, Utah, and now resides in New York. She's been dancing ever since she was 16 years old. Sabra is a professionally trained dancer, in just about almost everything! She knows, ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip-hop, gymnastics and theater. If you watched High School Musical last year, she was one of the skater dude back up dancers.

I've enjoyed all of her dances, but my favorites was the one when she was paired with Neil-"Sweet Dreams(Are Made of This)" and the Paso Doble also with Neil. Sabra is an independent woman. Like she says, if you read the official bio on the So You Think You Can Dance website. Her mother, Robyn Biederman didn't even know she auditioned until the show was on television. Sabra continued to dance after high school, even teaching. "She taught in Las Vegas at a dance studio and danced at Mandalay Bay as a go-go dancer on the weekends." her mother said. She also was in shows on Broadway like Cats, but being on So You Think You Can Dance topped it all.

Sabra's sister believed in her, and got everybody she new to vote for Sabra. "I'm just so proud of her, words can't explain. I tell everybody she's my sister, that she's on a national television show," Daria Johnson, says. " I'm hoping and praying that she's going to win, but if things don't work out the way we expect, then she's always going to be first to me anyway." Well, her mother and sister don't have to worry about that anymore. But, it could have easily went the other way.

You'd never even know that the winner of the show wasn't even going to dance professionally! "I really wasn't going to be a dancer at all until I decided to more to Vegas," Sabra told the Deseret Morning News. "About a year ago, I decided I was going to dance professionally. Originally I wanted to be a fashion designer like everybody else," she laughs. "I just didn't have enough money to go to school. So I ended up moving to Las Vegas, deciding that I'd dance for a couple of years, just for fun. So now I'm dancing. And this is where it got me." Yes, the first female winner will be dancing on cloud 9 for the rest of her life.
