Soccer Practice : 3 Simple Techniques to Teach Soccer

Andre Botelho
There are some really easy ways to successfully teach and train certain techniques in soccer practice. Three different techniques are there that the kids can learn. There is no difference when it comes to teaching a soccer skill or any other skill. These training methods are called differently by different people. I like to term it as "FIG". Subsequent paragraphs will have the illustration of this term.

Foundation: In soccer training, this consists of the base upon which the team's coming stages and eventually the entire future as a team would rest. These trainings therefore are of the lowest level. These skills are necessary for every kid to learn but are not used in the actual game. What is most important for a team to be versatile in the field of soccer is to have a strong basis.

Intermediate: Halfway i.e. intermediate what the letter "I" means. These middle level techniques play a very significant role of tying the fundamentals with the game skills. It is therefore necessary to realize that there is a significant difference in what mid level skills do in comparison with actual game skills. Game skills in soccer coaching are different from the intermediate skills. But these skills have a major role to play in developing actual game skills.

Game: These are the game skills that enable the player to play the game while in field. These game skills are the ones that make a soccer player by equipping him with the techniques to play.

The best method in soccer drills is to apply the demonstration-performance technique. This essentially means that you first give an introduction, then talk about the body, and then finish off with a conclusion. In soccer practice, tell the players what you intend to coach them about. Then do those particular things which will help them imitate it. In the end, have them do it.

Educating has three important basics; one, kids must be instructed how to do something. In order to achieve this, teach them the skill and also let them know as to how this will help them play better soccer. Then, it must be demonstrated to them as to how to perform that trick. Display the skills that you wish them to learn in front of the players. It is well known that kids remember better by watching.

In the end, make the kids put into practice the skills. Sufficient time must be allowed to the kids so that can practice the game. Run through as many repetitions as required so that kids learn better. Do not lecture a lot. In its place, show them what you want them to learn.

To end, tell them how was their performance in soccer practice. You must also tell them what they need to do in order to improve. Just test it right away and you will be surprised at how well it improves your training routines.
